My idea of forming an association for CSE and IT

A PAPER
On
Starting an association
For
The departments of
COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
And
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Inspiration behind the idea:

Everyone dreams of success. And everyone has his own version of it. Some dream of the stars. For them, even the sky is not limited. But some never dream. It is better to say that they pretend that they are not dreaming. Dreams are not part of their world. They suppress their dreams. They can never shine when there is no fire within them. What differentiates the latter group from the former?
It may seem that the circumstances in which they lived, their financial status, their background etc… has made them limit their dreams. These are all minor reasons that can be overcome if one has the will. The major reason is their thoughts. As mentioned earlier, those who dream of stars always think optimistic. The suppressors of the dreams think pessimistic. If the thoughts can be mended, if hope can be raised, if optimism can be induced, the difference between the two groups can be nullified. In order to do so, a platform is needed.
Our college is a similar one. We do have both types of students with different ideologies. And a platform is needed. For the branches Computer science and Engineering and Information Technology, the association can act as platform, where one can express share ideas, get corrected, etc.
Features of the association:
It is a non profit, volunteer organization. The scope of the association is the overall development of the members in both technical skills and communication skills. It’ll have very simple yet effective activities. The environment will be constructive. The administration is decentralized. The information system is secure and reliable. The requirements for the association are reasonable and productive too.
The activities will be planned and organized by the students under the guidance of the chairmen of the association. The association is student-centric.

My visit to TEDxJNTUK

I know it's not easy to finish describing TEDxJNTUK in one page.......... for the longer the post..... the less the probability that it is read....... Anyways let me begin........

I have watched a lot of TED videos but never thought that I will be able to attend similar one....... at least this early. But you never know what the almighty...... better to say your fate, has in store for you. The same thing happened to me. Just want to have a view of what's going in JNTUK..... logged on to jntuk.edu.in. To my surprise a TED event is going to be held ....... That too in a week.... My joy knew no bounds.......

The next day, I visited JNTUK as a part of I-day celebrations..... got into touch with an organiser through my HOD. And that's it. But I want some of my friends to accompany me. But I know getting folks from JNTU Vizianagaram to a conference is a Herculean task. That too make them pay Rs.500 & travel 150 miles........ My god, I still can't believe it........ I managed to get 40 members registered for the event.........
One reason should have been that my pals should have been fed up with the ever boring subjects and never exciting faculty.

On 20th of August we had University day celebrations in my college. So I was not able to join my friends on the way to Kakinada. But I managed to get out of the college by 3.00 PM. One thing I wish to mention about my college. The most difficult job to be done at JNTUV is to get to college and get back from there. One reason being transport and the other....... faculty.... You can teach basic words of technology to them if not ABCDs.

Back to travel, My train is to depart at 18.10 from the "City of Destiny", Visakhapatnam. I managed to board a 211 (new Jnnurm bus) directly to Railway station of the city of destiny. But I'm destined to miss the train..... For the buses were on a slow race.... The bus covered the distance of 50 kms in just 2.15 hrs. The bus driver is kind enough to give way to green buses, autos and even bicycles.... on one of the best and widest roads in India.

Train gone....... I boarded a Super luxury bus to Kakinada. This time it's the turn of my new pilot who reached APSRTC standards of treating all the buses equal. Even if you travel by a Garuda.... you can speak to one who is traveling in Green bus at ease all the way...... unless your driver helps him to overtake by parking at a roadside dabha for having a cup of chai. This driver too took one and a half hour more to take me to my destination than what was printed on my ticket. Three cheers to RTC and its obedient drivers.

At last I'm at Kakinada.........

I'm back....

I wonder why I'm not able to blog regularly.....

The reasons I find is that I don't really get time or the interest in blogging....
Whatever may be the reason..... I've decided to be back to blogging.......

But this time not as a academician or a philosopher........

I'm not gonna blog for the sake of my followers.....
I wish to maintain it for the sake of me....... The blogger..... and not the followers....

Any ways this is what I'm gonna tell.....

Live for yourself........ Not as one in the group..... Be different......

For the car would not have been invented if..... everyone is comfortable.... to travel on foot......

Make yourself unique....

Think Hatke...

Details of the Activity-2

I think by now you have come to an idea on what your aim is. But it is quite possible that you have chosen the aim not knowing all the opportunities available for you. So this week we concentrate on providing the details of all the career opportunities available to you. It includes public sector and private sector, core and non-core, further studies- at home and abroad, technical and humanities.
It is debated that in spite of being intelligent and hardworking, we, Indians are unable to compete with our peers in other countries*- barring a few cases. A reason always cited by the experts is lack of awareness among the students about the career opportunities in various fields. According to Indian curriculum, we decide on going to either science or humanities after SSC. Most of the times, science is taken. I agree science is a good option. But it is not the only option available.
Most of the high end jobs in public sector jobs are held by experts from other fields too. It is an added advantage if you have the knowledge about two or more fields. You may be interested in other fields like MBA. Even if you are interested you may know what to do, what to learn in order to switch to your chosen field of interest. We are ready to tell you the details.
One common question in the campus interviews is, “How do you see yourself after 5years?” You may be wondering, how your growth would be after joining a job- like increments and promotions. Even if you have not thought of it till now, it is better if you have an idea about career in that field. As it is said
“Even a journey of thousand miles starts with a single step.”
We have started our journey in the last week. It can be completed only when we keep going. We may face hurdles. Some of our friends may drop before we reach our destination. Some of them may join us in between. It is the persistence that makes the difference among us. Let us focus on the fruits of success, not on the hurdles in the path. Someone can help you only up to getting a job. But it is you that has to prove your mettle.

The first activity of club in my college

We have the story in Mahabharata. When all his peers were aiming at the tree, Arjuna was aiming at the eye of the bird. That’s what put him ahead of others in the art of archery. Others were not inferior to him when they went to have education. But his attitude towards his target made the difference.

The same story can be equated with ourselves, here in JNTU KAKINADA, VIZIANAGARAM CAMPUS. We all came here through an entrance exam. More or less we are equal in our talents. Every one may not agree with this argument. Some are strong in academics, some in communication skills and some in general awareness. It is true. But the fact is that they are a little better than the others but not Ms/Mr. Perfect. We are yet to know the competition around us. Before that we should know what we are up to. Only then we can be ahead of others.

Now there may be a question in your minds, “I am ready to improve myself but who is going to teach me all this? “

It is you.

“Me! Are you joking?” might be you immediate question.

Yes friends. You are going to teach yourself. Your interest is going to guide you. Your failures are going to improve you. Your attitude is going to help you succeed.

What we do is just provide you a platform to teach yourself.

Come friends. Let us start our journey towards success. And as a first step we have an exciting and crucial step in our journey. The aim of the activity is to help you get a clear idea about your future plans. Follow the steps mentioned below. Script a write up imagining yourself in each step. Be frank.

What am I after?

“If you don’t know the port to which you are sailing, no wind is favourable.”

The above sentence is not just a quote. It is a summary of all the success stories.* It is important that you work hard. But it is more important to know the purpose for what you are working for. Be clear about your aim. Write the details of your aim, the field in which you are interested. Be sure that it is your choice but not your destiny

Why did I choose this aim?

There may be many reasons behind choosing a field as your career. There may be pressure from your parents. The career may be trendy. It may be lucrative. It may be your passion. It may be a suggestion by your friends. Whatever the reason behind your choice, put it in the form of words.

What is my plan towards my aim?

Dreams cannot be realised without industry. It is important to know the hurdles to be crossed. Some exams may require years of dedication to have the last laugh. Some may be trying - which you thought to be simple. You may be required to manage job and preparation simultaneously. Some of your aims may be quite different from that of your chosen field in graduation.

Whatever is the obstacle, it is never going to dominate you provided- you are planned. The advantage in being planned is not that the obstacles are going to get out of your way but because you are ready to overcome them.

Write down what you are going to do to achieve your aim.

Present it.

Whatever you have written, present it before your friends. Your friends may learn from you. You may find a few tips catchy. You may find a few people who have the same ideas as you do - to do group study. You may find some people who can really help you in achieving your goal.

So friends! Don’t miss this opportunity. It’s ‘only you’ today and ‘only you’ tomorrow. The only difference is you’ll be ‘better you’ tomorrow.

Before closing let me remind you of one thing

“If you are not winning, It doesn’t mean that you are going to lose. You are only yet to win.”

Success is never judged in one go. You may fail initially. You may fail once..... You may fail twice. You may fail hundred times. If you keep going, you are definitely going to win. Unless you have given up fighting, you are not going to lose. Fight your drawbacks. Fight your destiny. Success is yours.

ARISTON- WE HAVE DONE IT!

A success story need not come from epics or personality development books. You can see many among us, provided you have the heart. In my opinion, there is nothing to cheer when a prince becoming a king because he is destined to do that. It is never a success when you catch the fruit by climbing someone’s shoulders. It also depends on how you perceive it. Success is not a physical element. It’s what you feel in your heart.
When the idea of organising a techfest cropped up in the college, we all had little or no experience in organising such events. We had to initiate. We had to co-ordinate all the branches. We had to make something out of nothing. We didn’t have Gandhis among us to lead. We didn’t have Obamas among us to inspire. Our hope kept our spirits high. We learnt from our mistakes. We worked as a team. And this event is a result of it. I wish to mention a few points about the event, ARISTON-09.

“What does it mean?” You should be wondering,
Even I don’t want to keep you pondering.
It simply means “The Best”,
Similar to our techfest,
Many an obstacle we had to face,
Before, we reached this last lap of the race.
To the questions, “Can you do it?”
We have the answer, “Yes, we have done it!”
With the blessings of the chief patron,
The unending support of the chairman,
The encouragement by the sponsors,
The dedication of the co-ordinators,
The hard work by the members of the event,
The enthusiasm of each participant.
On behalf of everyone who is a part of it,
We are proud to say, “Yes, We have done it!”

I HAVE A DREAM

Hello JNTU,

.

.

.

Some two score and a half years ago,a pilgrim visited this land of non-violence.Got impressed by it.He used it in his nation which is bearing fruits now.He said ‘I have a dream’.Those dreams are transforming to reality today.

The pilgrim was Martin Luther King Jr.What impressed him is non-violence.What he dreamt of is what is happening today in the United States of America….barring the recession!

I am a citizen of this nation.I have the right to dream here. And I want to reveal some of my dreams to you on this auspicious day.I have a dream today.

I am lucky that I’m studying in this prestigious university. But there are many of my brothers and sisters working in the hot sun,for the lack of money.Education has become a commodity that can be bought.

I have a dream where each citizen is guaranteed education free of cost irrespective of his background.

I have my sisters molested, abused and teased in colleges, harassed in houses, discriminated in the society.I don’t understand why they should suffer when we are all born equal. They don’t have even proper representation.I have a dream where all the women are treated equal to men.I have a dream today.

We had our general election conducted just a few months ago.But the opposition parties are busy preparing for the next general election, wasting the valuable time and money from the exchequer..... which is meant for discussing people’s issues.

I dream of a nation where the government is responsible and the opposition is constructive.

I call my dream,my Indian Dream.Come,my brothers and sisters.Let us make our nation numero uno in the world.

We don’t have a North India or South India but Indian Union. We don’t have Hindu India or Muslim India but Indian Union. We don’t have Hindi India or Tamil India but Indian Union. We don’t have rural India or urban India but Indian Union.I have a dream today for a happy India tomorrow.Let a new age down.

A soldier dies in the battle field. Not because he isn’t brave enough. But because he isn’t provided advanced weapons. When the terrorists use the most sophisticated weapons. The planes and ships that the foreign countries are discarding are being inducted into our army.

I have a dream where every weapon in India is made indegeneously.

Where each bud blooms

In its true colors.

Where each day is a celebration of

Unity,Harmony and Synthesis.

Saluting India.
